Boo.  I feel sick today.  Sniffly nose, muscle soreness and back spasms from too many handstands and bad falls..  Went to bed last night with after applying some Vanishing Scent Bengay and a heat pad.  Woke up this morning with a stuffier nose, a more irritated throat, and a very unhappy lower lumbar region.  Took a hot shower and downed a packet of tangerine-flavored Emer’gen-C and Lemon-Lime Airborne tablets and more Bengay.  We’ll see how much they help.  Aw man!  I’m getting a leg cramp (in my shin!) just sitting here.  0_o  I think I’m just going to grab my laptop from Meyer and scurry back home so I can telecommute to work.

Let me know if you actually *want* to get invited into Orkut.  Otherwise I’ll presume to be kind in trying to save you from the pain (I mean, fun) in pouring hours of your life down the drain in an endless struggle to prove to the world that you have friends.  You’ll also find me at Stanford inCircle, Friendster, The Face Book, and probably a couple of others that I’ve long forgotten about.  The next killer app: a mega website that allows you to connect to all of those networks with one username and profile.  No more searching for the same exact friends who got suckered into profile-hopping on these multiple services!  Big Brother, where are you?

Just as The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King slaughtered the competition at the Oscars, Google swept the accolades at the 4th Annual Search Engine Watch Awards.  Gee, does anyone even *use* the other search tools?  Copernic AgentKelkooMamma?  Whatever.  Google can search for UPC codes, flight departure and arrival times, UPS/FedEx/USPS package trackers, VIN, telephone area codes… Wow.  Is anyone surprised that Google has been named Brand of the Year?  I just found out that one of my housemates who moved out now works as an Associate Product Manager for Google.  Nice.

Are you following the Google trademark guidelines?

Felt like I did nearly nothing at work yesterday, other than field phone calls, give price quotes, troubleshoot image scanning problems, talk to my coworkers, update the consultant schedule, update the company web page, loan out equipment, teach consultants how to login to the checkout system… oops, I guess that’s work.  But it still didn’t feel like it.
