Wow, I’m getting old. I’ve had to turn more than once this week to http://www.urbandictionary.com/ in order to look up some unfamiliar word that has somehow slipped into the cultural vernacular without my noticing. Xanga entries everywhere with foreign words: Pwned? Dilligaf? Kthxbye?!

kenneth, is this in regards to “hella”? 🙂 it’s a northern cal word! everyone at berkeley used it! haven’t you heard it before? it’s nonexistent in SoCal so i had to pick it up after i came up for college… oh, a couple more SoCal/NorCal discrepancies… we always say “i’m taking THE 101 to THE 5..” whereas you guys just drop the “THE” 🙂 AND, you guys say “flea markets” whereas we use “swap meet”… ok, that’s all that i can remember for now… i finally learned to deal with “hella” but it might take me another decade before i give in to “y’all”… ick…
